I – Must have

Before you start building the pump, please check that the well is less than 10m high (32ft.). If it is more, don’t try to build the pump, it can’t work.

II – Tutorial

1) Supply

To build the pump, you will need the following supplies:
* 1 PVC tube diameter 32mm (T1)
* 1 PVC tube diameter 40mm (T2)
* 1 PVC bifurcation diameter 32mm (C)
* 1 PVC plug diameter 32mm (B1)
* 1 PVC plug diameter 40mm (B2)
* 1 flexible tube diameter 32mm (T3)
* 1 marble made of glass, ceramic, or stainless metal

Each one of those pieces can be replaced by an other one that is easier for you to find, but be very careful that the most important properties are identical. We advise you to use as much as possible the materials described over here.

2) Assembly

1- First, grab your (T2) tube and drill some small holes on 5cm (2 ») on one off the tips

2- Place the (B2) tube on the same tip

3- Then saw (T2) to take it off 20cm (8 ») on the other tip

4-After that, take (B1) and drill in a hole weel sized for the marble to sit in properlly. The quality of this step is very important because those two pieces are setting the level of sealing of the system, responsible of it’s efficiency.

5- Assemble (B1) on one tip of (T1) and (C) to the other one.

6- Plug the smaller tube inside the bigger one. Plug (T3) on (C)

7- The pump is now finished, remind yourself to glue the elements between them.
